DC Blogs Noted:

The so-called Quarter-Life Crisis
DC Gays of our Lives
The idea that there’s a “quarter-life crisis” has been gaining some currency in the blogosphere. But this writer takes exception. This sharply written post prompted some lively comments. An excerpt:

I'm a little confused as to why this topic is garnering so much
attention. Is there really something that profound in realizing that many of the ideas or expectations you may have had growing up are unrealistic, or worse, just wrong?

Thinking about Dating
Dating Rules for Sitcoms
A searching post about dating and trying to be someone you’re not. It starts like this:

I'm not really sure why I started this as a dating blog. It's not as if I'm actually dating. You know how people always say you find someone when you aren't looking? Well...I think that I am going to stop looking ...

Motor Vehicle Report: Evil Lurks Everywhere

I drive as little as possible. I still have gas in my tank that I put in there when it was $2.50 a gallon. Considering the price of gas today, it’s my best return on investment ever. So I don’t know what state around here produces the worse drivers: Maryland, Virginia or the State of DC. But this writer is clued in .. it starts like this:
Quite a few extra morons were on the road this morning, making my commute rather hazardous. As usual, most of the offenders were sporting Maryland-issued tags.
Also noted:

DC’s T-Rex of Snark, the DCeiver, on William Bennett.

The LSAT and dinner: Youch. Awkward moment. I guess that makes him 36. He hardly looks 28. Geez. 36. That's pretty old. From DC Demoiselle.

Fenty vs Cropp signs:What's funny though is that I've noticed that some of the yards in Shaw that once sported Fenty green have gone Cropp red. Regardless, it is still way too early for all of this. From In Shaw.

Rosh Hashanah note: I'd like to learn how to read Hebrew because I think that's one of the keys of temple worship. You say the words out loud along with everyone else which causes something to stir within. I wonder if I'm right about this. I want something to HAPPEN when I'm at Temple Micah, the kind of internal movement I often felt in Reclaiming rituals. … From Grace’s Poppies.

Recipe request: I'd like to ask the readers to submit to me via email a favorite recipe and any notes or stories you have on it. Or if you have kitchen tips! I will then post them here for all to enjoy. From Eat With Me.

Thanks for the mention. I'm a bicycle commuter, so you can imagine my joy when fools pass me up, slow down, and a door opens to discharge a passenger -- as I'm coming up the curb lane.

hello! My blog is pretty new but is an information portal developed by a DC teacher to inform and engage DCPS Teachers in issues and policy decisions impacting their profession and public education in the district.

May I link your blog too?
