Beauty and the Beltway
I made note of a post by this author in the notes column Tuesday. As a rule, I like to space out blog posts by various authors. The goal is to expose readers to a range of blogs. But I couldn’t ignore this post and the note sent to me by the author of DC Rush Hour: I think it’s one of the best and most mature blog entries I’ve read in a long, long time. I’ll share that view. The writer has turned off comments to her post and for reasons that may seem clear. Her post starts like this:

That was intense post from beauty and the beltway...thanks for pointing it out.
Beauty wrote a powerful piece, and it couldn't have been easy for her. It was a loving tribute to a friend.
As for the race....who had to sweep up the sequins the next day?

Cube: Where did you get that photo? LOL. I didn't make the race. But I know people had great things to say about the "nun" which made me reflect on my Catholic school days.
Either I'm reading too many blogs or I'm reading the right ones. I agree with your picks, wholeheartedly, and had read many of them before I got here.
DC has some great writers. (I was going to call them bloggers, but I think it sells them short.)
