DC Blogs Noted



DC Election Data: Neighbor Search – This is one of the more extraordinary and useful projects undertaken by a blogger. It’s a database that Eli of dcwanna.be constructed. Put in your address – or any address – and find out what political candidates are getting in contributions from your neighbors. DCist has a write up here. Rob Goodspeed has completed some very interesting research on
the history of the word “gentrification.” He used a newspaper database to discover when the word first appeared in the Washington Post and its frequency of mentions since then. He charts the data and combines it with some insights. The Goodspeed Update.
